ARTICLE: Benefits of Sea Salts
by: Patricia Bowe

That beautiful jar of bath salts looks and smells so nice,
but do you know that the ingredients used actually may be
beneficial to you?

Most bath salts start with or contain just Dead Sea Salt,
harvested from the Dead Sea in the Middle East. The salt in
this body of water contains beneficial minerals like
magnesium, calcium and potassium and has been said to help
in soothing numerous ailments, including psoriasis, eczema
and acne.

For the home spa, Dead Sea Salts are said to help exfoliate
your skin, clean your pores and help your body get rid of
toxins.

Epsom Salts are named for the famous mineral salt deposits
first discovered in Epsom, England. The benefits of using
this salt are numerous including reducing stress, reducing
swelling, and soothing aches and pains. Many bath salt
formulas contain Dead Sea Salt as well as Epsom Salts.

Himalayan Pink Salts come from salt deposits found in the
Himalayan Mountains. It is said that the salt contains 84
out of 92 trace minerals that are found in our body. Its
benefits are numerous including stimulating circulation,
relieving muscle cramps and is said to help rejuvenate your
skin, removing toxins such as heavy metals and more.

There are also places where you can get sea salts
that have been prepared for consumption in place of
regular store-bought salt. Store-bought salt, like many
ingredients that we eat has been mercilessly processed and
most of the benefical minerals have been removed, making
the product nutritionally useless. Adding sea salts
sparingly to your diet is said to add those missing trace
minerals back into your body as well as enhance the taste
of your food.

Whether you get spa salts that are comprised of just one or
more of these salts, using mineral salts are said to
rejuvenate your body, stimulate circulation and relax you.
Try a scoop or two of spa salts the next time you take a
bath. Your body will love you.

That's all for now. Toodles!
